Registration Begins for Santa Dash 5k Run/Walk in Plattsburgh
PLATTSBURGH | People can get into the holiday spirit while running for “a good Claus” at the second annual Santa Dash 5K Run/Walk. The event is being held on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 11 am at Valcour Brewing Company in partnership with Adirondack Coast Events.
Proceeds will go toward scholarships supporting nurses at University of Vermont Health Network – Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) who are seeking to further their education and grow professionally. This includes taking additional classes, pursuing certifications, attending conferences and conducting research.

Plattsburgh 6th Graders Put The Eclipse On Display
More than 50 sixth-grade students from the Stafford Middle School in Plattsburgh created projects that shared the process, history, and safety measures for the total solar eclipse on April 8. They’ve been learning about it in Mrs. Sarah McCarty’s class for months.

Concert Celebrating MLK Day with Plattsburgh High School Jan 15th
According to The Press Republican, Plattsburgh High School music director William Verity will direct the Select Vocal Ensemble for the last time at the Martin Luther King Celebration, 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, at the Blessed John XXIII Newman Center, 90 Broad St., in Plattsburgh.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Committee welcomes attendees to this annual celebration, whose theme for 2024 is, “Why we can’t wait: activating our power for equity in justice.”

Plattsburgh's Christmas Bureau Raises $50,000 for Local Children

In the spirit of holiday cheer, the Christmas Bureau in Plattsburgh is working tirelessly to ensure that children in Clinton County wake up to presents under the tree this festive season.
Volunteers at the Christmas Bureau have embraced the role of Santa’s helpers, meticulously crafting lists and checking them twice to bring joy to families in need.
